Good morning from the State Champions!
Maroon Devils were down 4 going into the 4x400 relay. The relay team of Josh Collins, Josiah Glaspie, Abhi Patel and Connor Brown put together the run of a lifetime to win the 4x400 in a time of 3:28.16 and in turn win the 2024 1A State Championship as a team by a final score of 81-75!!!!

Carl Baird finishes 2nd in the 3200 meters, 2 places ahead of the Mountain Island Charter runner!!
Arizona Blankenship takes the championship in the 3200 meter, her 3rd State Title of the day!! Her finish combined with Angel Lomelli's 3rd place finish should clinch the Lady Devils the State 1A Championship for the 4th straight year!!
The Lady Devils have a 75-40 lead with 2 events remaining, the 3200 and 4x400!
On the guys side it is tied at 56 with Mountain Island Charter with 5 events yet to be finalized!
Kane Jones finished 6th in the 800 meter race, which should give the Devils 3 points that would tie Mountain Island Charter with 5 events to go!! Just about as close as it can get for the men's title.
It is tight coming down the stretch in the Men's Championship, through 12 of 18 events Mountain Island Charter holds a slim 3 point advantage over our Maroon Devils!! Come on Devils!!!
Annie Lewis has won her 2nd State Championship of the day by taking first in the 800 meter run!!!
