IMPORTANT END OF YEAR EVENT INFORMATION FOR CLASS OF 2025
⚠️ Yesterday, SCHS sent out that the Senior slideshow and parade would be on Tuesday, May 27, 2025; however, we have discovered this is a major scheduling conflict with the 8th grade moving up ceremony.
The Senior slideshow will now be held on WEDNESDAY, May 28, 2025 @ 6:30-7:30 pm; the parade will be scheduled to follow. Seniors will line up in the parking lot at the gym; parents will have the opportunity to get downtown to watch the parade at approximately 7:45.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused, May is a tremendously busy and tumultuous time of year for every school district! ⚠️

Blair Ogburn and Terry Bennett's environmental science students, along with Kim Holt's EC class, enjoyed searching for shark teeth and dinosaur remnants among samples from the Pliocene era! We are so grateful for this fun and educational opportunity provided by the Gray Fossil Museum and the Gear Up program for paying the lab fees!

SCHS kicked off Senior Week with an interactive experience called "The Reality of Money" sponsored by NC SECU. We would like to thank Heather Parton and the SECU employees, as well as SCC staff members, and SCS employees for volunteering their time to make this a successful event.
