Congratulations to Daisy Frizzell (EBCI member) for winning a special award at the North Carolina State History Day competition for Most Outstanding Project of Native American History in the junior division! This year's theme was "Turning Points in History". Daisy's exhibit was "From Diminished Whispers to Cultural Restoration of a Native Society" in which she explored the cultural and historic importance of the annual Cherokee Fair over the last 100 years. Swain Middle School is so proud of her accomplishments and how she represented her school and her community.
