The Dream Fund supports the purchases of new computers, hardware, software, or design-related technology. Alexis will also receive one free year of Adobe Creative Cloud.

Alexis has been involved in the National Honor Society, SkillsUSA, has taken all Adobe Academy courses offered at Swain and holds certifications in Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and soon InDesign. Alexis hopes to attend Duke University to study Visual Arts and Computer Science.

The AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) Asheville Dream Fund benefits underrepresented and economically disadvantaged Western North Carolina students who are studying graphic design, photography/videography, UI/UX, and illustration in colleges and universities.

AIGA was founded in 1914 as a small club of graphic artists, printers, publishers, and illustrators located in New York City. Since then, the design community has evolved into a nationwide network of professional designers, educators, students, and design enthusiasts served by more than 70 chapters.
