Swain County Schools' Human Resources Department provides assistance and support to potential employees.  The HR Department also serves the employees of Swain County Schools in several capacities including Employment Contracts, FMLA, Worker's Compensation, Licensure, Benefits, Employee Assistance Programs, Voluntary Shared Leave, Retirement, and HR Information Systems.  We strive to provide timely, accurate, effective communication to applicants and employees.  The HR Department is committed to providing excellent customer service.

Volunteers are an important part of the school community.  Swain County Schools promotes and encourages the help of volunteers in order to enhance parental and community involvement in our schools while continuing to maintain a high level of safety and security.
 
Interested volunteers may complete a volunteer application and background check form and turn them into the school's office.
