This is to inform you of something new we are going to do this year for weather.
Swain County Schools will issue a WEATHER WARNING when weather conditions are or will be present that have the potential for delays or cancellation of school. WEATHER WARNINGS will be issued in advance so that our community can be prepared IF school is delayed or cancelled. The Warning will also alert our community to the possibility of weather situations during travel as well as for students who wait on buses. Please note that the WARNING does not mean schools will be delayed or cancelled, only that the possibility exists, check all Maroon Devil media outlets for updates, delays or cancellations.
